OPINION OF A FAN
. On Sunday. December 14th. a
game with Kincardine saw Luck-
now come out the victor 6' to 3
despite a lot of time in the penalty
box. Some penalties are deserved.
I grant you. but some are really
ridiculous and I feel cause ftustrai-
tion to the point of working in
reverse and having the players go a
little overboard. •

On Sunday, October 14, Lancers
went down to a 7-2 defeat against
Goderich. The ice was soft making
play slow and slushy. Lucknow's
goals went to John Emberlin from
Jim Murray and. Dave MacKinnon

at 8.00. On 'Friday, December
19th, Lucknow plays in• Port Elgin
at 8.30.
After a long bus trip to Fergus,
the boys lost 4-2 in a penalty-
plagued hard-hitting game. Luck-
novr's goals went to John McKen-
zie iron' Harvey Livingston and Jim
Murray from Art Stanley and Dave
MacKinnon.
Atoms Trounce
Op-position Twice
Lucknow Atoms soundly trounc-
ed their opposition in two games
played in the past week.
On Friday night, in a 'game
played in Mildmay. Lucknow
outscored their opponents by an 8-2
score. High scoring centre George
Alton netted a hat trick and one
assist; Wayne Phillips flashed the
red light twice andassisted on two
others; Donnie Peterson, Paul
MacIntyre 'and Jamie Bere picked
up singles. Paul Pickard and David
Emberlin each had an assist.

them. Goaltender Paul Jerome,
who has been playing outstanding

Lucknow now has five wins and one
loss: The next game will be played
in Tiverton on Saturday afternoon
and the next, home game in
Lucknow. Monday night at 7.30.
Teeswater Take
Midgets Twice
Lucknow Midgets lost two hock-
ey games to Teeswater.
In. Lucknow • on Tuesday night.
the local boys scored the only goal
of the first period as a shot by
Kevin Cowan deflected into the
Teeswater net.
Each team counted once in the
second' with Lucknow's goal being
scored by Tom Sinnett on a pass
from Rick flowald. Teeswater
scored two unanswered goals late
in the third period to go ahead and

fast exciting game.

Sunday afternoon saw the home
squad score twice in the first
period. There was one goal each in
the second with Jim. Van Osch
converting a pass from. Rick Conley
to score for Lucknow.
The third period was all Tees-
water as they skated and passed
- with desire and• determination and
scored six unanswered goals.

The first game on Saturday,
December 13 saw the Red Wings
go 'down to a 4 to 0 defeat at the
hands of the Black Hawks.
