Following the, ceremony, a
dinner and reception were held at
the Whitechurch Community
Hall. A three-tiered wedding cake
decorated with blue roses and
lily-of-the:valley made the
centrepiece for the bride's table.
The bride's mother wore a
floor-length gown of turquoise
polyester and a corsage of pink
carnations. The groom's mother
chose' a pink floor-length gown
and a corsage , of white carna-
tions.
For travelling, the bride wore a
green floral polyester dresi with
brown accessories andAt corsage
of yellow carnations.
After a wedding trip to Ohio
and parts of Ontario, the couple
will reiide in Windsor.
Honored guests at the wedding
were the bride's grandmother,
Mrs. Gordon Elliott of Wingham,
and the bride's grandfather,
William Forster of RR 1, Luck-
now.
Farmed In Huron
For Many Years
RUSSELL NEEDHAM
Russell Needham, a resident of
Ripley, passed away at Kincardine
Hospital on Sunday, October 5th in
his 71st year.
He was born On concession 10,
Huron Township an May 29th,
1905, .,a son of James Henry
Needham and Josephine Collins.
The late Mr. Needham was a
farmer on concession 10 for '
forty-two years, retiring to Ripley
three years ago.
He earlier served as Councillor in,
Huron Township and later as,
deputy-reeve. Mr. Needham was
also keenly interested in sports,
especially baseball and hockey and
never wanted to miss a game.
Mr. Needham is survived by' his
wife, the former Elva Wall who he
married on May 29th, 1936; two
daughters Donna of London and
Mary, a student nurse at Stratford
Hospital; three brothers, Stewart of
Ripley; Walter of 'Gateway Haven,
Wiarton; Albert of Niagara Falls;
and one sister Mrs. Pete (Agnes)
Leason of Elmira.
• He was predeceased by four '
brothers.
The funeral service was held at
McLennan-McCreath Funeral
Home, Ripley on Wednesday,
Octotoer 8th. Interment was in
Ripley CeMetery.
Rev. Carnochan of St. Andrew's
United Church, of which the
deceased was a member, was
minister.
Pallbearers were W. R. Lowry,
Keith Carter, Wm. Elliott, Morford
Mackay, Donald Galles, Lester
Farrell.
Flower bearers .were nephews,
Larry Hamilton, John Wall, Robert
Wall, Stewart Farrell, Wm. Taylor
and friends Michael Hamm and
Jim Elliott.
Unit 1 of St. Andrews United
Church Women served lunch to
family, ,relatives and friends follow-
ing the funeral.

with a high'neckline and long lace
sleeves. .A Juliet cap held her
waist-length veil which was
trimmed with' similar lace. She
carried a bouquet of red roses
