September Is
Arthritis Month
'Throughout September, The
Arthritis *Society will try to make
more people aware of the problems
of arthritis, but, even more
important, it will try to let arthritis
sufferers know about the great
strides being made in research to
find the cause and cure of this
disease.
Each year arthritis robs workers
in Ontario of millions of dollars in
lost wages. Many are confined to' a
bed or wheelchair.
Arthritis is a serious problem,
yet 'Canada is recognized as a
leader in the program to control
arthritis. In order to maintain that
position The Arthritis Society
needs money for research and
education.
