political rights are virtually non-existent.
Some of us have triedto become active in political parties We
have been told .to quit or be fired.
We think this is ridiculous.
Some of us support. Mr. Davis /party. Naturally, othert support
the NDP or the Liberals.
But this doesn't matter to the government. It simply believes
we should have fewer rights than other citizens.
We don't agree.
What is the ,harm in our speaking or writing publicly on issues
:such as housing, education and taxes'?
Or, what danger, is there for us to put, up lawn signs, or .
canvass on behalf of a candidate?
The government thinks this .is wrong. It has made such
activities illegal.
We believe in basic democratic rights.
And this won't cost taxpayers a cent.
We hope you will vote •for equal rights . for everyone.
What more can we say?
Whose rights go next?
