A mixed doubles tournament
was played on the, Lucknow Lawn ,
Bowling greens on Saturday even-
ing, September 6th.
Winners were as follows: first,
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart MacDonald,
Teeswater; second, Mr. and Mrs.
John McTavish, Brantford; third,
Mr. and Mrs. Jack MacDonald,
Lucknow; fourth, Bill Hunter and
Isabel Miller, Lucknow; fifth, Roy
Finlayson and Maudie Fisher,.

Ball Team Now
In Semi Finals
Lucknow Intermediate Ball Team
dumped. Harriston in two straight
games in the W.O.A.A. quarter
final . series. On Wednesday,
September 1, the score was 3-1 for
Lucknow.
The Sepoys now advance to the
semi final series against Milverton
with the first game in Milverton on
Thursday and back here Sunday.
September 14. It had not been
decided at time of writing whether
Sunday's game would be afternoon
or' evening.
Ripley Defeats
Allenford 2 -1
On Tuesday night, the Ripley
Intermediates took a 2 - 1 lead in
their best of -5 series with
Allenford, defeating them 2 -.1 in•a
9 inning thriller which kept the fans
entertained throughout the game.
Elliott Courtney pitched a. strong
game for Ripley and scored one of
the Ripley runs. Art Stanley and
Blair Armstrong led the local lads
offensively, each getting key hits
and driving in runs.

8.30 p.m.
