Couple Will Live In Toronto

The marriage of Barbara Jean
Murray of Wingham and Douglas
William Schmid of Toronto was
solemnized in Sacred Heart Roman
Catholic Church, Wingham on
Friday, July 18th at 5 p.m.
Rev. Father A. Nolan of Wing-
ham officiated at the double ring
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mts. P. A. Murray of
Holyrood. The groom's parents are
Mr. and Mrs. William Schmid of
Lucknow.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride chose an empire style
voile gown with Slightly A-line
skirt. Delicate Venice lace bands
highlighted the bodice, the short
sleeves and hem. A full floUnce
trimmed the skirt and chapel-
length train. Her beautiful custom
made headpiece of Venice lace held
a two-tier net veil. She carried a
bouquet of stephanotis, carnations
and ivy centred with a white-orchid.
Matron of honour was the bride's
sister, Mrs. Donald (Elaine)Fisher
of Barrie. She wore a gown of pale
yellow flocked print with delicate
white daisy edging in a summery
style with empire waist, deep neck,
tiny shaped sleeves and a ruffle at
the hem. She carried a bouquet -of
daisies, baby's breath and carna-
tions tinted to match the dress with
yellow streamers.
Bridesmaids were Miss _Debbie
Murray of Drayton, Miss Cynthia
McCarter of Wallaceburg and Miss
Melaine Kraemer of Rexdale, all
nieces of the bride. Their dresses
were styled similar to the matron of
honour's in blue, pink and yellow
and white. They carried similar
styled bouquets tinted to match
theii dresses with matching
streamers.
Flower girl was Miss Kara Fisher.
of Barrie,• niece of the bride. She
was, dressed in yellow, styled
similar to the matron of hononr's
but covered . with a white ruffled
pinafore., She dropped yellow rose
petals on the carpet as she went up

Ashton of Lucerne, Quebec. Ushers
were Mr. Ted Schmid of Burling-
ton, Mr. Barry Greib of Sundridge
and Mr. ,Gerald Murray of Holy-

SoloiSt was Mrs. Marie Douglas
of Belmore. She was accompanied
by Miss Rosemary Schmidt as.

Howick Community Centre. The/
tables were adorned with white
cloths and botiquetsof Queen Anne
lace and pastel candles. The head
table featured large glass chimneys
with similar bouquets and white
candles.
The bride's mother Wore a
polyeSter crepe gown .in varigated
shades of apricot through to deep
pink, with long sleeves, flowing
skirt, soft neckline with self fabric
tied bow and gardenia corsage.
The groom's mother chose a
gown of flowered figured nylon
with long sleeves, long full skirt in
shades of blue and white rosebud
corsage.
For travelling the bride wore a
,short dress of pale green polyester
crepe with hunting scenes in navy
and brown with wooden buttons
and daisy corsage.
Following a wedding trip to the
East Coast, the couple will reside at
1 Bannockburn Avenue,. Torontp,
where the groom is with -Imperial
Life Assurance 'Co.. The btide•was
on the staff' of ' F: E. . Madill.
