Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Hamilton left on Tuesday for the bus trip to the Thousand Islands. Mark Haldenby visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Husk and family, and Lisa Husk visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Haldenby and family. Martha Graham is-now employed with her sister Ruth, at Canadian Keswick, near Port Carljng. KINLOUGH BRIDAL SHOWER The Holyrood hall was filled• to capacity with relatives, neighbours and friends on Wednesday evening honouring Miss Barbara Murray with a bridal shower. The hall was most attractive with baskets of flowers, pink and white streamers and balloons filled with confetti. Mrs. Lorne Eadie in her pleasing manner extended a hearty welcome to everyone and was chairlady for the program. She called on Mrs. Raynard Ackert, Who in her capable manner, asked each lady to identify herself and tell an incident about the bride or her family and also conducted a lively sing song with Miss Edna Boyle at the piano. Mrs. Lorne Eadie and Mrs. Bill MacPherson each gave humorous readings with good advice to the bride. Marilyn Murray played piano numbers and also conducted a game. To the strains of the bridal . chorus Barbara was escorted to her place of honour. Miss Mary Eadie assisted in the opening, of the gifts. and Mrs. Donald -fisher (Elaine Murray) read the attached verses. Mrs. Lorne Eadie read an address of good wishes. Mrs. Cliff Johnston, Paula, Teresa and Diane Murray and Veronica Dales placed the gifts and decorated. a 3 storey wedding cake with the colourful bows. Barbara expressed apprec- iation to those who had arranged her shower, to all who had come,' and for the lovely gifts, and also mentioned the beautiful corsages which were made 'by Mrs. Walter Forster, • a former 10th concession neighbour, and worn by the bride, the mother of the bride, and the groom's mother. All were invited to' come to her home where her trousseau was displayed. "For she's a jolly good fellow" was sung. Delicious refreshments were served and a social time was enjoyed. Word has been received here of the death of Rev. John Prest who served the parish of Bervie, Kingarf and Kinlough some 20 years ago. Sympathy is extended to his wife, Mary, and sons, Peter and Harry. The Presbyterian W.M.S. ladies attended the South Kinloss Thank- offering meeting on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. (Rev.) Baulch. formerly of South Kinloss and Kinlough, was guest •speaker. Mrs. Kenneth MacDonald and _ infant daughter Lisa Anne returned home from the Wingham and District Hospital. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Barry Haldenby on the birth of a daughter. Mrs. Gertrude Walsh and Mrs. John Barr visited with Mrs. Emily Robinson at Goderich. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bennett of Toronto spent Saturday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Art Halden- by. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scott and their family attended the Cox reunion at Goderich Park on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Don Gillespie and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Bushell • attended the Gillespie family picnic on Sunday at Goder- ich. Mrs. Gwen Fawthrop and family have moved frpm the 4..'llage to their home in the Pickeriu area.• Mrs. Marretta Hodgins tiurned to London after spending a Aile at her home here. Mr. and Mrs. E.
