was matron of honour at her girl
friend's wedding.
Margaret Disher. They met his
brother, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Swan
Jr. of Cambridge (Galt) and his
unele, Mr. and Mrs. Delos Disher
of Tara. They gathered at the Park
where they had lunch together.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas .Raynard
and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ritchie
attended the 45th- anniversary of
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stewart of
Port Albert. It was held .Saturday
evening at Brookside Public
_School. Mrs. Ritchie attended their
wedding day and had taken part in
the wedding ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. Allan Ritchie and
Bryce had her sister, Mr. and Mrs.
Bill Duffle of Hamilton and \ her
brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Torn
Culbert and girls of Crewe and Mr.
and•Mrs. Roy Culbert and family of
Cambridge (Galt) call on them
following their daughter Brenda's
wedding, which took place on
Saturday, June 28th. A number of
friends and neighbours also visit-
ed. Brenda, a Registered Nurse of
VVingham General Hospital for the
past two years, is taking her
holiday time and will return to work
in three weeks. ,

held their Sunday School service
Sunday morning and the church
picnic was held in the afternoon.

her 84th birthday on Sunday at the
home of her son, Mr. and Mrs.

Edgeworth (.a friend) of London and
Mr. and Mrs. Herb Wilkins and
family of the 9th concession,
Ashfield. Mrs. Wilkins' birthday
date is July 10th.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald • Gibson,
Heather, Brian and Michelle left
Friday of last week for a holiday to
Santa's Village, Bracebridge and
Midland, returning home Sunday.
Mrs. Frank Ritchie; her daugh-
ter, Mrs. Frank Riegling and
grandchildren, Lisa and Todd
visited on Wednesday of last week
with Mrs. Ritchie's mother, Mrs.
Mary MacAuley of Centennial
Manor in Milton.

and Michelle attended a bridal
shower for Bev Harriston of
London, bride of their nephew,
Dennis Hanna., It was' held at their
sister's cottage, Mrs. Jim Smuck,

The Swan family, Linda, Kevin
and Margaret spent holidays last
week at the home of their
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gord-
on Emmerton of Kincardine.
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Ritchie and
Carol visited Sunday at the home of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest
Bogie of Goderich.
Janet Wilkins left Sunday for a
week's camping at . Hermosa
Church Camp, north of Goderich.

visited Saturday in Wiarton at
Gateway Haven with his father,
Earl Swan. '

attended a wedding Saturday
afternoon for Doris Stokes R.N. and
Gerald Rodgers of Goderich. The
wedding took place at the Presby-
terian Church in Belmore with the

the sudden passing of her father,
Elmer Pollard of. Ripley on Tues.,
day, June 24th.
Mr. and Mri. Charles Wilkins
attended the celebration of the 35th
wedding anniversary of their
friends,. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Flack of
Mitchell on Thursday evening of
last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kirkland
and Nancy attended the Teeswater
Old Boys Reunion during the week
end, taking in the Saturday evening
program and afternoon Centennial
church service and Memorial
service at the cemetery. Teeswater
is Gordon's home town, where he
spent his boyhood days.
Mr. and Mrs. Russel Swan and
family visited Sunday afternoon at
the Alexandra and Marine Hospit-
al, Goderich, with his aunt,. Miss

held by Mrs. Eva Burt, Mrs.

Town-1y Downey played the piano.
Nancy Burt read the address to the
bride and Karen Doelman and
Nancy Burt assisted Margaret in
opening the gifts. Margaret
thanked the ladies for the lovely
gifts and lunch was served.
_FRACTURED ELBOW IN FALL
Little Danny Gilchrist fell on
Sunday and broke his arm at the
elbow and will have the cast on for
about 6 weeks.
Mr. -and Mrs. Bill Haldenby
attended the wedding of Lois Wall
and Byron Ballagh in Teeswater on
Saturday.
