Brenda Joanne Maize and Rob-
ert William John McGee were•
united in marriage on Saturday,
June 7 in the Lucknow United
Church at 3 o'clock. White daisies
and yellow mums surrounded
lighted blue tapers in candelabra at
the altar. Reverent Doug Kaufman
officiated at the double ring
ceremony.
The bride's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Maize of Lucknow.
The groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Fred McGee of Wingham.
Organist Miss. Mary Ellen 'Hav-
ens accompanied soloist Mrs. , Joy
Dennis, who sang "the Wedding
Prayer" and "We've Only: Just
Begun".
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride chose a full length gown
of polyester sheer demure. Pleated
lace edged the. Mandarin neckline,
round bodice, cuffs and hemline.
Soft gathers fell from a high
waistline, bound with wide satin
ribbon which formed a bow at the
back with long flowing streamers;
The full bishop sleeves and bodice
were Made of Alencon lace and
seed pearls. A long chapel train .
Was caught at the waistline and
accented with the same Alencon
lace.. A matching lace capulet
trimmed with white satin ribbon
held a two tier silk veil bordered
with matching. lace. The bride
carried a cascade bouquet of deep
red sweetheart roses, baby's•
breath and ivy. -
Miss Bonnie Maize of Stratford,
sister of the bride, was maid of.
honour. She wore a long gown of
aqua blue, nylon polyester sheer

Baby Returns Home,
Born Under 2 lbs.
Cheri Lynn MacKenzie, who
weighed only one pound, 10 ounces
when she was born March 22, has'
been finally allowed to go home
from hospital after gaining five
pounds.
Cheri, daughter and only child
of Mr. and Mrs. David MacKenzie
of Kincardine, was ,rushed to War
Memorial Children's- Hospital in
London, Ontario, immediately after
she was born in Kincardine
,Hospital,
The baby was 3% months
premature.
Cheri is in good health and is
expected to be of average size
when she reaches .12 months.
To conserve body heat, Cheri
was wrapped in tin foil with only
her head exposed before she was
taken to the neo-natal intensive
care unit in London, said Dr. L J.
Tusz, the physician who delivered
the baby.'

A deep gathered flounce edged the
bottom of the gown. Wide
brimmed white straw hat trimmed

completed the' outfit.
The bridesmaids wore identical
ensembles. Each girl carried' a
nosegay of white daisies outlined
with white baby mums and long
.white streamers. Miss Betty Maize
of Wingharn, Miss Beverley Maize,
Miss Barbara Maize, both of
Lucknow, sisters of the bride, Miss
Janet McGee of Wingham, sister of
the groom, were bridal attendants.
Groomsman was Philip Beard of
Winghatir and ushers were Murray
Leggatt of WinghaM, Matt Rich-
ardson of Goderich, Ronald McGee
of Wingham, brother of the gropin,
and Brent Maize . of Lucknow,
brother of the bride. They wore
royal blue tuxedos with black velvet
collars and ruffled white shirts
edged with black, with yellow
carnations on the lapels.
The bride's mother wore a floor
length gown of yellow polyester
interlock in, an empire waist styling
with cape /sleeves. The groom's
mother chose a long gown in
apricot polyester with ,cut away'
neckline with matching lace bolera
jacket with wrist length sleeves.
Both mothers wore baby white
carnations with white accessories.
The fathers also wore royal blue
tuxedos.
Dinner tables were decorated
with blue candleS and vases of
single yellow carnations at the
church. A three-tiered wedding
cake, decorated with blue roses,
made the centrepiece for the
bride's table. A dance followed in
the Lucknow Arena.
For travelling to the Western
Provinces, the bride wore a plaid
pantsuit in 'pastel colours with,
matching blouse and white acces-
sories. She chose a ,corsage of pink •
sweetheart rosebuds.
The newlyweds have taken
residence at 301 William Street,
Wingham, Ontario. The bride is
employed at the Bank of Commerce
in Wingham and the groom is a
mechanic at McGee Auto Electric
in Wingham.
A neighbourhood shower was
given by .' Mrs. Mae Hunter and
Mrs. Annie Shiells of Lucknow: and
a relative shower by Mrs. Bill Reid,
Mrs. Joyce Goddard and Mrs.
Pearl Anderson of Goderich. 'A
party was held in „honour of the
bride and groom. by the staff
members of the Bank of Commerce
in Wingham.
