THAT The annual memorial service at Dungannon Cemetery is scheduled for this Sunday, June 29th: Barbara Cameron On Student Exchange Barbara Cameron, 15, _daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Cameron of Lucknow, leaves Thursday of this week by 'train from. Kitchener on a student exchange to the province of Quebec, arranged by the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews. • She is one of 3000 students involved , in the, exchange. Barbara will spend two weeks with a French Canadian family at Repentigny, Quebec, who have a daughter about her age. The girl, Manbn St. Denis, will return with Barbara on July 10th and spend two weeks at the Cameron 'home. Barbara has just completed, grade 9 at the F. E. Madill . Secondary School at Wingham. It is expected she will use the French language while visiting in Quebec. KINGSBRIDGE NEWS The grade eight graduation was held for twenty-eight graduates of St. Joseph's School on Friday evening. A Mass was celebrated by Fr. Dentinger at 7.00 p.m. after which the students, parents and guests sat down to a banquet in,the Parish Hall 'served by the C.W.L. Grace was led by Fr. Dentinger followed by a toast to the QUeen. Mr. Steffler, principal, introduced the head table: Msgr. Phelan of St. Augustine, Mr.' and Mrs. Bill Kinahan (trustee Huron Perth Board); Father Dentinger, Murray Gaunt M.P.P.; Brother Carl Voll, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Osborne (Knights of Colitibtis), Mr. Ralph Foster, Mr. Neil StapletOn, Mrs. Maithel Wilson, Mrs. Steffler. A toast to the students was made by Mrs. M. Wilson with a reply by Julie Vogt; a toast to the teachers was made by Joanne Van Osch with a reply by Mrs. B. Eedy; a toast to the parents was said by Mark Doherty with Mrs. Joe O'Keefe replying. The Valediction speech was given by Eric Courtney followed by Andrew VanDiepen, who introduc- ed the guest speaker Mr. 'Murray Gaunt M.P.P. After a very interesting talk to the students Mr. Gaunt ,was thanked by Bill Tigert. Presentation of Awards followed; Citizenship Award was presented to John O'Keefe by Mrs. Gus Redmond from the St. Augustine C. W. L.Council ; Proficiency Award was presented to Eric Courtney by Mr. Pat Osborne from the Knights of Columbus. .Goderich Council; Science Awards were presented to Eric CourtneY by Mr. 'Ralph representing the Ashfield Organization and to Pat Bo Mr. Neil Stapleton •repre the West Wawanosh Farm izations.
