team of which Joey giffin is a
member on Friday evening played
at Chesley where Joey Was pitcher
and the score was 13-11 in favor of
Wingham. On Saturday' the Tyke
team did battle in' '`Hingham' with
the. Clinton team, where Joey was
pitcher again with a. score 16-9 in
favbr of Wingham. Joey had 12
strike outs in this game.

On Tuesday Whitechurch Wom-
en's Institute sponsored a bus trip
to the RocktOn Safari. Thoge on the
trip from Whiteehurch were Mrs.
Gordon Rintotil, Mrs. Ivan Laidlaw
and Kimberley, Mrs. Bill Rintoul,
Mrs. George Webster, Mr. Hum-
phrey, Mr. and MrS. Fred Tiffin,
Mrs. Russel Chapman,' Mrs. Dave

family have purchased a new cabin
trailer as they plan on going to the
East Coast on their holidays..
At the United Church, Sunday,
June 29 it will be Mr. Lawrence
King's farewell service. The
community wishes him success in
the years ahead and will miss his
messages in song and musical
numbers.

from London and Paul from
Windsor.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson on
Thursday visited with Mrs. Blanch
Hockridge of Cedarville and in the
afternoon attended the Craft Dis-
play Workshop and Historical
meeting in Cedarville Women's
Institute Hall. Mrs. Emerson
spoke on the Making of a House
Log, explaining the need of it and
how to set one up. The president of
the Dundalk Historical Society
presided for a very interesting
program presented by the Society.
The Hall resembled a museum with
the many articles and quilts of
pioneer days on display.
Services at Chalmers Presbyter-
ian church will be Sunday School at
10 a.m. and church at 11.15.

The brick layers are now busy
putting the brick on Alan Falcon-
er's new house.
Congratulations to the commun-
ity public schoolers who obtained
honors and to those who passed..
To those who failed, work hard next
year and obtain honors.
Miss Kathy Purdon of White-
church 4-H Club last week attended
the Provincial Leadership Confer-
ence being held at Guelph Univer-
sity. The Conference is planned to
assist delegates develop leadership
in social recreation, program
planning workshops. Delegates
will be expected to put into practice
what they learned at the Confer-
ence in their own communities.
