village clerk A. E. Herbert.
R.1, Box 6,
Fort Towson, Oklahoma,
April 23,1975.
To the County Clerk of Walkerton,
Bruce County,
Ontario, Canada.
I am searching for information on
the geneology 'of my mother's
family. . Her name was Margaret
Annie Kirscher,' She was the oldest
daughter (and child) of Barbara La '
Porte and John Kirscher. She was
born August 23, 1880. She had two
brothers and one sister. Frank and
Emma were twins, and the
youngest child was Alex. The last
report of Alex he still lived at
Lucknow, Canada. Can you give
me any information on the La
Portes or the Kirschers? Or can
you give • me any leads on how I
might obtain information on these
two families? Can you send• me
addresses of any La Fortes or
Kirscher. who live in Bruce
County? " •
I would truly appreciate any help
you can give 'me.
Joseph Kipling La Porte ,was
born November 2, 1869 in Form-
osa, Canada in Bruce Cdunty. I
have reason to believe he was a
younger 'brother of Barbara La
Porte. I have been under the
impression that John Kirscher may
have been born near Lucknow.
I would welcome any informa-
tion you could send me on these
families.
