inVolyed in a tnotor vehicle accident
at the Intersection of highway #4,
and Cotinty Road #25 on May 31.
He was treated for a laceration on
the right knee op and discharged.
Mrs. Brenda LeClear, was a
passenger in her husband's ,car
involved in the accident: She was
treated for a brush. burn on right
elbow, and mid chest pain, and
discharged. The accident was
investigated by Constable Gross,
Goderich O.P.P.

meeting and . banquet for Huron
ASsociation of F.VV.T.A.O. (Teach-
ers' Federation) held in the Legion
Hall in Wingham on Monday
evening. Guest speaker was Miss
Angela Armitt of London, super-
visor of extension courses with
Western University. She spoke
briefly about courses available and
then kept her audience in stitches
with her topic, Humour as a means
of communication. Miss Lavonne
13allagh, Wingham, gave an amus-
ing and entertaining skit showing
the perils of, engaging an inexper-
ienced dressmaker.. • The new'
executive was installed by Miss
Helen Videan, Goderich.
On Monday .a huge crane set the
homes for Mr. and Mrs. K. Bowen
and for Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Godfrey on their foundations on
Joseph Street. Mr. and Mrs:
Godfrey and family moved out from
Goderich on Saturday. Welcome to
the. village.
Several from the village attended
the Open House in honour of Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Curran's 40th
wedding anniversary at Brookside
on Saturday evening. Ladies from
Dungannon U.C.W. catered to the
dinner for immediate family in the
school earlier in evening. -
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McNall and
family camped for three days at
Family Paradise at Walton. Shirley
McNall was one of those who
completed the 40 mile route in the
Bikeathon on May 24.
Recent visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Marvin Smith were Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Smith, London and
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Garton of
Leamington. Mr. and Mrs. Peter
Lauzon of Windsor spent this week '
end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Marvin Smith.
Mrs. Vera Errington was honour-
ed' by her family at a birthday
dinner at the home of Jim and
Margaret Errington on •Wednesday
evening, May 28. Jean and Ivan
Henderson of Weston visited her
mother on Saturday and ' Mrs.
Errington returned with them for a
visit.
Mr. and Mrs, Jim Errington
spent the week end with her sister
and brether-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Sheldon Martin of Stratford and
attended the Wilhelm reunion it
Tavistock.

40 members of the Goderich and
Wingham Pro, Life Groups charter-
ed a bus to. Ottawa on Wednesday,
May 28., LstIving Goderich at 1.15
p.m. they arrived at Christ Church
Cathedral Hall, the lobby head-
quarters and were met by Dorothy
Swimmings. Here they were
briefed regarding proceedings for
the' following day. The next
morning at 11 p.m., 44 persons
from the Riding of Huron met with
their member of parliament, R. E.
McKinley. Chairman for the group
was Mrs. Sally Campeau, Wing-
ham. Spokesmen were Dan Mur-
phy Q.C. and ' Dr. 'Brian Lynch.,
5,200 signatures 'were obtained in
Huron County. Mr. McKinley told
the group he had voted against the
bill liberalizing abortion, and his
views had not changed. He felt
that 90% of the M.P.'s felt the
same way. He felt that Doctor
Henry Morgentaler was treated the

passes were given to all 44
members. 8 delegates were invited
to join with Mr. McKinley for
dinner.
At 12, o'clock noon, a mammoth
parade of 2,703 persons; represent-
ing 200 ridings from every Province
in ,Canada, took part in the Passing
Ceremony, on the lawn in front of
the Parliament Buildings. - The
petition bearing one million, twen-
ty seven thousand, four hundred
and twenty signatures (with more
signatures coming in) was carried
in and tabled by 10 M.P.'s (one
from each Province). There was a
very small group (17 to be exact) of
Pro Abortionists who soon left.
The figure of 2,703 Pro Life
members is correct as members of

our group were counting at each of
the 8 gates coming into the
Parliament Buildings. At 3 p.m.
the Comtnons galleries were filled
with spectators favoring tighter
abortion laws and witnessed the
formal tabling of the petition.
There were several hundred who
were not able to get in due to the
overcrowded conditions. •Members
met back at lobby headquarters for
a Wine' and Cheese Party before
returning to their homes.
Executive Members of local Pro
-Life Groups met at the, Queen
Elizabeth School, Goderich on
Monday evening, May 26 to
discuss and make final plans for a
Walkathon. It was decided "The
Walk For Life" would take place on'
Saturday, June .21.
