party ,Was held at their home. for
Mr. and Mrs: 'Hugh Arnistrong of
Culross celebrAtting their 5 35th
wedding 'anniversary when • their
relatives and neighbours gathered
to celebrate the occasion with
them.
Sunday visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Wallace Conn were Mr. and
Mrs. Douglas Conley and Jason,
Mr. and Mrs. Herb Hunter and
Trevor of London, Mr. and Mrs.
.Mac Armstrong of Alberta.
On Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Bev
Kay and Wendy were. at Guelph,
where they visited with his mother
Mrs. Kay in Guelph General
Hospital..
Murray Simpson has completed
.his course at Fanshawe College.
On Tuesday last he 'and another
graduate left by car for Edmonton,
where they have ccepted a
position. ,„
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin McClenag-
han of Waterloo were Sunday
visitors with his parents Mr. and
Mrs. Ben McClenaghan and his
brother Carl and Mrs. McClenag-
han.
The •cement block foundation for
Alan Falconer's new' house was
started Monday morning by J.,
Walters and helpers. The new
home is between Bill Evan's and
Wallace Milligan's homes.,.
On Friday evening Mr. and Mrs.
Wallace Conn were invited to Mr.
and Mrs. Douglas Conleys and so
were Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Arm-
strong of Culross, Mr. and Mrs.
Herb Hunter and Trevor of London
and Mr. and Mrs. Carman' Fullar-
ton and family 'of Paisley.' Around
midnight the parents were surpris-
ed when Mr. and Mrs. Mac
Armstrong of Alberta _arrived for a
week's holidays.- The family
prepared the surprise for the
parents, Mr. and- Mrs. Conn and
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Armstrong.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mowbray and
Mr. and Mrs.. Wesley Tiffin are'
spending a few days the first of this
week at' Brantford with Mr. and
Mrs. Ron Sedden • and Mr.. and
Mrs. Jim- Henderson.
Anniversary services will be held
at Chalmer's Presbyterian Church
on May 25 with guest speaker Rev.
Lloyd Murdock of Nova Scotia.
Mr. and Mrs. Simmons of
London visited on Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs.' Lorne Durnin and Mr..
and Mrs. 'Elroy Laidlaw. They
were accompanied here by Miss
Jane Laidlaw, nurse-in-training at
London, to visit with. her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw.
Mr. Bev Kay arrived home on
Tuesday last after a weeks visit in
Nova Scotia. He was accompanied
there by other members of the first
year class at Knox College. Them
were 3 car loads of them made the
tour. They also visited with Rev.
Lloyd Murdock.
Whitechurch W.I. will hold the
May meeting on the 12th at 8.30 in
the evening in Whitechurch Hail.
