Kincardine, and obtained posses-
sion April 1st. •

were advertising Open House for
the official opening of their new
Massey-Ferguson dealership busi-
ness, located on • Inglis Street,
Lucknow.

whereby Donald Thompson be-
came owner of the Lucknow
Sentinel. He had previously been
in a partnership since 1960 with his
father, Campbell Thompson, who
passed away September 1964.

APRIL 1945 •
A curfew in Teeswater started on
April 1st. The deadline for being
off the street was 9.30 and applied
to all -children 15 years and under.
The home .of Mrs. James Valad,
east of Holyrood, was destroyed by
fire.
Mr. and Mrs. John Gillespie,
residents of Whitechurch, observ-
ed their 64th wedding anniversary
on April 6th.
W. A. Schmid purchased the
Allin block in Lucknow in which
was located Morrison's Harness
Shop and Belle Robertson's Millin-
ery Store. The buildings were
bought from Miss Bertha Allin.
The new proprietor planned no
changes until ,the post-war years
and then contemplated building a
new store with apartments above.
