On Tuesday, April 8th the
Brownies opened their,:meeting
with Skipping gaines.
Anne Harnilton`was Fairy Queen
and she Placed the Toadstool for
Brownie Ring. • Snowy Owl did
inspection and each Brownie was
checked for complete 'uniform and a
clean handkerchief. The Brownies
hopped their BroWnie Gold. Brown
Owl presented Luanne MacLeod
with her first year service, star
followed by the Brownie Prayer.
At Pow Wow the requirements
for the Wordworker Badge were
reviewed. The Brownies were
reminded that they were to'try and
bring•a fancy bottle next meeting
for a craft. -
During work period Brown Owl
had the . Golden Ladder Brownies
for compass. Snowy Owl and Taw-
ny p.m worked with the Golden Bar
-Brownies and several Brownies
passed tests. Luanne MacLeod,
Helen. Maclntyre and Debra Huff-
man passed their test for observa-
tion. Luanne also passed her test
for throwing and catching a ball
and Debra passed her test for
sewing on buttons.
The meeting was brought to a
close with the Squeeze and Taps.
will go to Clinton May ,3rd to play in
the Division Annual Basketball
Tournament.
The Guide and Brownie Mother
and Daughter banquet will be May
15, at the Lucknow United Church.
CaMpfire was led by the Scarlet
Tanager Patrol. Hostess for the
evening was Terry Taylor, assisted
by Barb Hackett,. Guests for the.
evening were Mrs. Charles Wilk-
ins, Mrs. Ken .Taylor and Commis-
sioner Mrs. Carroll McKim. The'
meeting was closed with vespers

accept the tender of Jennison
Construction Limited, Grand Bend,
for the crushing and hauling, of
approximately 14,000 cu. yds. of
granular material on the Township
roads, subject to approval by the
Ministry of Transportation and
Communications." ,
By-law #6, 1975 was given third
reading and finally passed on
motion of Councillors Foran and
Hickey. This is a by-law
concerning the Borland Municipal
Drain in , Colborne Township.
The road accounts were ordered
paid on motion of Councillors
Stothers and Foran.

The regular meeting of the'
Lucknow Girl Guides was held
'April 10th.
The meeting opened with roll call
followed by horseshoe forpation
and flag raising by the Robin
Patrol. 0 Canada was sung in
unison, followed by the Guide
Prayer.
This was a special night with the
enrollment of two new Guides,'
Elizabeth Wilkins of the Bluebirds
and Linda Taylor of the Scarlet
Tanagers.
