Synodical held at St. Thomas last week going to St. Thomas on Tuesday and returning on Wednesday. MOVE FROM TEESWATER Mr. and Mrs. Dan Webster and family moved to their new home on Dave Bridle's farm on Saturday from Teeswater. We wish to welcome them to the community. High prizes went to John Sproal and Mary Hehn of Wingham with second high going to Ross. Erring- ton and Douglas Miller. The travelling shoot went to Mrs. John Finnigan of Wingham. Mr.' and Mrs. Barry McQuillin, Jill and Scott of Oshawa were week end visitors with Mrs. Fred McQuillin. Junior Farmer County Activity Big Bruce, a large Hereford steer to promote Bruce County and the International Plowing Match in 1976, was the centre of attraction at the Provincial Winter Games at Walkerton on the week end of April 5. Due to weather conditions the attendance at the games was not very large, but anyway here are the results. Bruce County took top honours in PAGE FIFTEEN men's and mixed curling and volleyball. Ian Grant of Teeswater skipped the winning rink 'of Dave Grant, Allan Grant and Andy Grant in men's competition. Larry. Brovvri skipped the curling' winning rink of Mary Alexander, Gary Collins and CheryleWarinington. , Bruce County defeated Essex in the final volleyball game but lost to Kent County in men's basketball. Wellington County won the men's bowling, while Halton won the women's contest.
