Healthy Babies, Healthy Children
Parent Resource Visitors
(Part-time)
Applications are invited for Parent Resource Visitors for the
Healthy Babies, Healthy Children Program in Huron County.
Parent Resource Visitors visit families in the home to teach and
provide support to parents and connect them to community
programs and resources. They work closely with public health
nurses and other community workers.
The successful applicants have:
- completed secondary school education or equivalent
- experience an interest in working with parents and children
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- ability to plan, organize and manage time well
- own transportation to families' homes
Selected candidates will be required to attend a two week
training workshop to become eligible for employment. A
certificate and an honorarium will be awarded to those who
complete the training.
Application forms are available at the Huron County Health Unit
and Huron Employment Resource Centre offices in Clinton,
Exeter; Goderich, Seaforth and Wingham. Completed
applications must be returned by noon on March 17, 2000 to:
