LEOTA ADELINE DAVISON
Leota Adeline (Cardiff) Davison
passed away on Friday, Aug. 22,
2003 at Huronlea Home for the
Aged, Brussels.
Bom in Brussels on March 15,
1913. Leota was in her 91st year.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Dean Fleming Davison and dear
mother of Murray Davison and his
wife Karen of Windsor, Arnold
Davison and his wife Cheryl of
Elora and Wayne Davison and his
wife Rosemary of Point Clark. She
was the dear sister of Clarke Cardiff
of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. Mrs.
Davison was also loved by
grandchildren Catherine. Jay,
D. Harding hosts Huron East WI directors

After answering the roll call -
name one exciting thing happening
this summer, the meeting continued
with the business.
The quilt blocks that are part of the
Erland Lee Museum Home quilt
challenge are to be sent in by Sept.
30. The colours chosen are medium
blue, dusty rose and white and the
pattern is the participant’s choice.
The Walk to Bethlehem is slated
for Nov. 28, 29, 30 and Dec. 1 at the
County Heritage Museum at Milton,
beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Glenna Smith expressed her
thanks to those people who had
contributed all sorts of needlework
and nightgowns from the 1920s for
display. Three posters were made to
show grandma’s kitchen, costumes
Kimberley and Carolee and great
grandchildren Sarah, Dylan, Sam,
Charlie and Charlotte.
She was predeceased by her
brother Ross.
Cremation has taken place.
Friends will be received by the
family an hour prior to the
celebration of the life of Leota on
Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 2 p.m. from
the Schimanski Family Funeral
Home, Brussels, with Rev. George
Ball officiating.
As an expression of sympathy,
memorial donations may be made to
the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

convenorship is now called the
advocacy co-ordinator. The new one
for the province is Ruth Kennedy.
PAC Leone Foerter asked the
members to please read thoroughly
their Home and Country as there is
pertinent information to be found in
Gilbert Millar of Ethel passed
away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003 at his
residence. He was in his 83rd year.
He was the beloved husband of
Anne and dear father of Agnes
Pinkney and her husband James of
Ethel and Jim of Toronto. Mr. Millar
was the brother of Peter of Scotland.
He was also loved by grandchildren
Jeanette, Glenn, Scott, Gilbert,
Melissa, Tamara, Johnny and Justin
and his six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his great-
grandson Tyler and a sister.
At Gilbert’s request there will be
no funeral home visitation or
service. Cremation has taken place
with the interment in Scotland at a
the summer issue.
The Huron East ACWW church
service is to be held April 25 at 9:30
a.m. at the Brussels Mennonite
Fellowship Church with Majestic as
the host branch. Walton will help
with the lunch following the service.
Kathy Bridge gave several dates
for the upcoming courses being
offered by the fun and learning
workshop committee. The courses
include tatting, shower wrap and
tote, a door stop, and Christmas
decorations. They will be held
October and November with a
non-refundable charge.
The 102nd district annual
scheduled for May 11, at the
Brussels Presbyterian Church with
the theme Branching Out. Majestic
branch is hosting. Molesworth and
Howick branches are responsible for
entertainment.

DONALD RAY STREET
Mr. Donald Street of Braemar,
Wingham, formerly of Bluevale,
passed away at Wingham and
District Hospital on Friday, Aug. 1,
2003.
Bom in 1914, he was the beloved
husband of the late Dorothy Aitken
who predeceased him in 1990. He
was the dear father of Linda and
Stuart McCannell of Guelph, Julia
and Gordon Mitchell of Brussels and

and the guest speaker is Judy Flegel
