In 1992 they were honoured for their contributions by being named as the Citizens of the Year. The Seers have three daughters. Congratulations Maxine Seers on their 50th wedding anniversary. Bill and Maxine celebrated this happy occasion with friends and family at the Auburn Community Hall last Saturday. The former Maxine Benmiller, daughter of Jim Blake married Bill Seers of Goderich, a son of Fred and Mabie Seers on Aug. 22, 1953. The ceremony was held at the home of the bride.
