and salon.
Though she will specialize in cuts,
colours and highlights for men, she
will offer services for women as
well.
Ear piercing and facial waxes will
be amongst her other services.
Open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.,
Monday and Tuesday; 9 a.m. to 5
p.m. Wednesday to Friday and
Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.,
Weber prefers walk-in clientele, but
will accept appointments for those
who prefer it.
The Village Barber is located on
Blyth’s main street.

With a new business in a new
town. Dana Weber is looking
forward to getting to know her
community.
Weber opened The Village Barber
last Friday and though the blackout
did slow her preparation for the
event, she was ready with trimmer
in hand for her first customers.
Weber, who moved to Blyth from
Stratford though she is a native of
Bluevale, has been doing hair for
eight years, both in a barber shop

Congratulations to Margaret
Nesbit on her birthday. She will be
90 years young Aug. 24. Margaret is
a resident at Seaforth Manor in
Seaforth.
She will be celebrating next
Sunday at the home of her son and
daughter-in-law, John and Ann
Nesbit with a family reunion.
Happy birthday, Margaret.
Happy birthday to Nancy Wasson
who celebrated her birthday on Aug.
11.
Bodie and Ollie Craig travelled to
Waterloo to help celebrate their
granddaughter Emily Craig’s
birthday. Emily is a daughter of Paul
and Sue Craig.
Many Eighth Line neighbours,
friends and relatives gathered at
Ernie and Emily Phillips for a
summer celebration. Emily retired
from nursing and they celebrated
their birthdays.
The children enjoyed the pool
while the adults visited and enjoyed
the food.
Ruth and John Uyl and girls
hosted Chesley Saddle Club on the
weekend. They went for trail rides
in the area and everyone had a good
time.
There were approximately 40
riders on Saturday and the event
finished up with a barbecue chicken
and salad supper.
About 15 camped overnight and
went trail riding again Sunday.
Lawn bowling Aug. 11 was rained
out. The winner of Thursday night,
Aug. 14 was Graeme McDowell.

Two more wins
Meagan Campbell of Blyth
added two more medals to her
trophy case when she brought
home two silvers from the
Royal Canadian Legion
national track and field meet
held in Kitchener, Aug. 9-10.
Campbell competed in the triple
jump, leaping 11.25 metres and
was a member of the second
place 4x100-metre relay team.
