the wedding Saturday, Aug. 2 of
their grandson Jeff Bosman to
Lillian Chen. The wedding was
performed at the home of Jeff’s
mother and stepfather Linda and
Harvey Carter of Clinton.
Rev. Chris Morgan officiated.
The bride was attended by her
sister and five friends from Taiwan
and Jeff’s two sisters Chrissy
Bosman and Dana Millor. The best
man and ushers were friends of Jeff.
The bride’s father and friend from
Taiwan were also in attendance.
Soloists were Lisa Elliott and Kelly
Marks, cousins of the groom. Pianist
was Barb Bosman.
Chelsey Irwin of Edmonton spent
two weeks as a guest at her
grandmother’s Betty Irwin and also
visited with other relatives in
Belgrave and Lucan.

McCLURE-WASCHER
On July 26, 2003 Sandra Ann and Corey Lee were united in marriage
under an overcast sky at an outdoor garden ceremony at the Four
Points Sheraton, London, Ontario. Sandra is the daughter of Bill and
Sharon McClure of Seaforth. Corey is the son of Bill and Judy
Wascher of Garden Prairie, Illinois. The bride's sister Connie Alcock
was Matron of Honour. Bridesmaids were Janice Drake, friend of the
bride and Wendy Bruno, sister of the groom. The flowergirls were
Kim Alcock, Amy Alcock and Kayla McClure all nieces of the bride.
The groom's brother Dan Wascher was best man. Groomsmen were
Mark McClure, brother of the bride and Chris Eickstead, friend of
the groom. Junior usher was Kyle Wascher, nephew of the groom.
The wedding was everything Sandy and Corey had hoped for. The
wedding was followed by a dinner and heartfelt reception. After a
honeymoon to Switzerland, Sandra and Corey will return to their
home in Lakeville, Minnesota. Thank you to all of our family and
friends for all their love and support. Special thanks to our wedding
party, you did a great job, the day would not have been complete
without all of you by our sides. ’
Donelda, Mike, Shawn, Chris and
Matthew Cottrill recently flew
home from a trip to Moosomin,
Saskatchewan where they visited
with Jim’s sister, Marie and Don
McLeod. Also visiting at the same
home were their family Rose Marie
and Peter, Barb McLeod and Nolan
of Vancouver Island, Wayne, Janice
McLeod and Mitchell, Carleigh and
MacKenzie of Winnipeg, Manitoba,
Darryl, Donna, Kyla and Rylan of
Rama, Saskatchewan.
The occasion was the celebration
of Don’s 65th birthday.
They also visited with Jim’s
brothers and wives; George and
Helen Lamont of Moosomin, Sask,
and Archie and Eretta Lamont of
Virden, Manitoba.
While in Winnipeg, they toured
the critical care air jet ambulance
hanger where their nephew is
employed.
The boys enjoyed trying their
hand at water skiing and tubing on
Moosomin Lake.
While flying home the pilot
pointed out where the Rolling
Stones were putting on their
fundraising concert in aid of SARS.

birthday on Saturday, Aug. 9 with
many friends and relatives attending
an open house at the Belgrave
Community Centre.

play Elma
In spite of being shutout by Elma,
the Brussels U-9 team showed a lot
of action and great movement of the
ball as they utilized the entire field.
Elma struck first netting three in
the first half. The teams worked
hard, challenging each other, but
Elma was able to get one more over
the goal line before the final whistle.
Anthony Lichty stood between the
post for the first half of the game
and Cameron Stewart took over for
the latter half, displaying some
awesome saves.

Several bylaws were passed at the
Aug 5 meeting of Morris-Tumberry
council.
Bylaws were established to
provide for minimum maintenance
standards and classification of the
highways and to revise the
municipal civic addressing system
as well as enter into agreements with
Hydro One Networks Inc. and the
Belgrave Community Centre board.
A bylaw authorized the
acquisition of part of Lot 15, Cone.
5, Morris, to provide buffer zone
around the landfill site.*♦*
The municipality will transfer part
of Elizabeth Street in Belmore to
James and Betty Cutler with a price
of $2,035.17 or the actual cost of the
transaction.

win, backstopped a great effort by
