election nears, some local politicians
are beginning to declare their
intentions.
Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh

Residents get garbage pickup
Residents west of Hwy. 21 in
Ashfield and Colborne now have
weekly household garbage pickup.
Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh
council passed a bylaw at the June
meeting approving pickup from June
30 to Sept. 8 for this year only, on a
trial basis. The program will cost the
municipality approximately $5,100.
Recycling bins will also be placed
at the Ashfield and Wawanosh
landfill sites at at cost of $1,800 for
the remainder of 2003.
