The Citizen, 2003-07-16, Page 8PAGE 8. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 16, 2003. PEOPLE AROUND LONDESBORO By BRENDA RADFORD Call 523-4296 The Fellowship Bible Chapel will hold its third drive-in service on Sunday, July 20. Janna Steinson and Rebecca Bohner, the Tavistock Duet will provide musical entertainment. Hank Gelling, a missionary in Belgium for 28 years, who is familiar to many in these parts of Huron County will be the evening’s speaker. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the service. During May, Richard and Tricia Bergsma and children sold their home on the western outskirts of Londesborough and moved onto i small farm on the 13th of Hullett. Although villagers are always sorry to lose residents, the Bergsma family has not gone far. Their new home was recently owned by Mervyn and Gaye Datema. Oldsters will know that farm as that of Bert and Dora Shobbrook. About a month ago the family of Paul and Kathy Porter moved into the former Bergsma residence. Be sure to welcome Paul and Kathryn and their three young children into our midst. The Porters came from Goderich Twp. Paul is employed at the North Huron plant of Wescast in Wingham. Mickey and Teresa Smith and sons, Michael and Matt, are the new owners of the former home of Jack and Phyllis Potter. The Smiths come from the Teeswater area but are no strangers to this part of Huron County having once lived near Kinbum. The boys attended Hullett Central Public School at one time. Mickey is a farm labourer. Welcome to Londesborough. The sympathy of the community is extended to Ed and Mary Salverda and family on the sudden passing of Mary’s mother, Mrs. Joan Rolleman, of Stratford. Certainly the family would appreciate your prayers at this most difficult time.
