Ah, summer! Time for relaxing
and recreation in gardens and with
family and friends. Time to share the
bounty of our country as we gather
to share food and fun in the good
weather. Time to celebrate our
history and recall memories of a
shared past. Yes life is good.
Turnberry Street is looking pretty
spiffy. The paint jobs are continuing
and on a daily basis the look is
definitely better. Thank you to our
Business Association for the interest

Chances are you’ve hit a hole in
one if you’re a golfer sponsored by
Buick or Nike.
But, if you are a golfer who hits
the course a couple times a week in
the summer, the chance that you’ve
sunk a hole in one are quite slim.
Ken Smith’s stroke beat the odds
on the third hole at the Seaforth Golf
and Country Club last Wednesday
and he was “pretty excited’’.
Smith, of Brussels, received a
hole-in-one towel and bought drinks
for everyone there.
“The pro told me there is a one in
45,000 chance, so it doesn’t happen
very often,” Smith said.

get things going.
Their effort to contact and
convince some of the building
owners that a new paint job was to
everyone’s advantage is certainly
appreciated.
The other neat thing about this
project is that the money being used
is from the house tours of last winter.

The Blyth Festival is in full swing
with several good plays to choose
from. I’m still humming. “He’s a
pirate...” so that means it’s a good
one. Get your tickets now and we
can sing together.
Be sure to take advantage of all
the things to do in Huron County. A
short drive will get you to several
theatres with many terrific plays,
free music at beaches and parks as
well as wonderful scenery and
bountiful food.
Enjoy!

At the Branch
Lilies
bloom
in
memory
By Jo-Ann McDonald
When passing the Branch you will
notice the beautiful lilies blooming
across the front. These were planted
in memory of Cathy Snyder last fall.
She loved flowers and as we see the
beauty of these lilies, we fondly
remember Cathy and her green
thumb.
We have a few comrades
