Margery Huether visited her friend
Annette Havens in Collingwood.
They travelled back together and
spent the day in St. Jacobs.
Many local people attended the
50th wedding anniversary of Harry
and Mabel Nesbitt in Stratford at the
Festival Inn. Guests included
Graeme and Helen Craig, Neil and
Marie McGavin, Margery Huether,
members of the Dodds family and
many Campbell relatives from the
area. Congratulations to them.
We are sorry to hear that Graeme
MacDonald has been in Seaforth
hospital and we hope he will feel
better soon.
Leona McDonald welcomed son
Neil McDonald for Vancouver home
for a week of holidays.
Grandchildren Mike and Chrissy
Warwick and Kendra Warwick and
fianc£ Anass have also arrived and
are staying with mom, Karin
McDonald Calhoun in Bayfield.
Also Karin’s husband Charlie
arrived from Florida, all for the
occasion of Lee Ann McDonald and
Jason Konarski’s wedding on
Saturday.
Our home and farm has been
turned upside down and sideways in
preparation for the wedding of Lee
Ann and Jason. It turned out just
wonderfully. The threat of
thunderstorms on Friday passed over
and the small rain shower on
Saturday started just at the very end
of the outdoor wedding ceremony.
Everyone scattered into the many
tents and shed to keep dry and after
half an hour, the clouds parted and

The Walton Little School Shining
Stars enjoyed a Canada Day party on
Monday, June 30. The children
enjoyed singing O Canada, making
Canadian flags and learning about
Canada from A-Z. Each child
worked on a Canada booklet that
took them through each province and
territory. They are now going to learn
about dinosaurs.
The Acorns and school-age class
are learning about water. They have
done some amazing water
experiments. They are enjoying
special water games, slip and slide
and water Olympics. They are setting
a goal of reading 500 books in July
and have already read 100 in just five
days!
Members of Duff’s United Church
were greeted by Donna McClure on
Sunday. The scripture reader was
Teresa Baan. Taking the collection
were Howard Hackwell and Graeme
Craig.
Duff’s United Church will have
services for the month of July and on
Aug. 3. July ushers are Emerson
Mitchell, Brian McGavin and John
Huether.
PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance)
is now available. It’s a direct debit
program that allows people to
