Obituaries
IDELLA HUBLEY
Mrs. Idella Hubley of Seaforth
passed away at Seaforth Community
Hospital, on Tuesday, June 17, 2003
in her 91st year.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Edward Regele (1982) and the
late Norman Hubley (2000). She
was the loving mother of Shirley
Preszcator of Forest and her friend
William Pfaff of Crediton, Pearl and
Harold McCallum of Walton and
Lloyd and Shirley Regele of
Princeton. She was the cherished
grandmother of 58 grandchildren.
Mrs. Hubley was the dear sister-in-
law of Terry Ward, and Kay Hinz,
both of Mitchell.
She was predeceased by brother
Kenneth Thornton, two grandchil
dren, and one great-grandson.
Friends were received at the Box
& Smith Funeral Chapel, 47 High
St., Seaforth on Thursday from 2-4
and 7 - 9 p.m. where the funeral
service was held on Friday, June 20
at 2 p.m. Rev. Joan Tuchlinsky offi
ciated.
Interment was at Zion Evangelical
Brethern United Cemetery,
McKillop.
Flowerbearers were Carl
McCallum, Wayne Hartman, Ken
McCallum, Dennis England and
David Glanville.
Pallbearers were Paul McCallum,
Ron McCallum, Carl Farr, Bryan
McClure, Ken Jewitt and Bob
England.
As expressions of sympathy,
memorial donations to Duff’s United
Church, Walton or the Seaforth
Community Hospital would be
greatly appreciated.
As a tribute to the life of Idella, a
tree will be planted in her memory.

Mr. Norman Higgins of Braemar,
Wingham, formerly of RR5,
Brussels passed away at Wingham
and District Hospital on Friday, June
20, 2003. He was 78.
Mr. Higgins was the dear brother
of Mildred and Lloyd McDonald of
Waterloo, Edna and Tom Pletch of
Brussels, and Ross and Wilma

Funeral Home, Wingham on Sunday,
from 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service
was held at the funeral home on
Monday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Ethel
Miner Clare officiated.
Interment was in Brandon
Cemetery, Belgrave.

LLOYD MICHEL
Lloyd G. Michel of London
passed away peacefully at home on
Saturday, June 21, 2003. He was in
his 82nd year.
He was the beloved husband of
Karen George Michel and loving
father of Marianne Schaefer and
Sandra Finlayson, both of London.
He was Grandpa Louie to Todd
Schaefer and his wife Jennifer
(Stoney Creek), Kelly Lethbridge
and her husband John (London),
Scott Finlayson and his wife Kelly
(Lucan), Kristine Tauschek and her
husband Mark (Innisfil) and Allison
Schaefer (London). He was the
proud great-grandpa of Courtney,
Haylie, Johnathon, Brooke, Kaitlyn,
Hannah and Aiden. Mr. Michel was
predeceased by his son-in-law John
Schaefer.
Cremation has taken place.
A private memorial service will be
conducted in the Westview Funeral
Chapel. Interment is in Ethel Mount
Pleasant Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the
charity of one’s choice would be
appreciated by the family.
