A contract for $141,750, $8,000 under the projected costs for this portion of the work, was approved at the June 5 meeting of council. Chamney Contracting of London will do the work which includes mechanical changes to the heating and air-conditioning systems to provide separate circulation to the council chambers and a nearby courtroom. Project co-ordinator Claus Breede estimated these changes would amount to about $30,000- $35,000 of the total bill.
