Council names road to fairgrounds for Threshers By Bonnie Gropp Citizen editor Giving credit where credit is due, North Huron council at its June 2 meeting voted to name the roadway leading into the Bly th campgrounds off County Rd. 25 as Thresher’s Lane. Clerk-Administrator John Stewart said that the Thresher Association wants to use the road for the annual steam show in September as the entrance to the grounds. It will now be assumed as part of the township’s roadway infrastructure. North Huron will be responsible for its maintenance, which, Stewart said, it has been doing to some degree already. Also, a representative from the Association, Joe Hallahan, said that the two stone pillars which had been at the entrance to the arena were going to be placed again at the Thresher’s Lane entry. The plaques with the names of the original agricultural society members will be placed on the pillars. 1 Wu-u ' ;X Amo AOfcec-P 7 Talk to us instead.
