Tasker announces his passing at South Bruce Grey Hospital, Kincardine, Tuesday, May 13, 2003. He was in his 77th year. Mr. Tasker of RR 1, Kincardine was the retired funeral director and owner of Tasker Funeral Home in Bly th, which he operated for more than 40 years. He was bom in Blyth on Feb. 9, 1927, the middle son of the late Albert Richard Tasker and the late Violet Irene McGuire. He attended Blyth Public School, Clinton High School, Clinton Business College and Funeral Directors College at Humber College in Toronto. He moved to Brockville in 1948 where he met and married Jean Williams in 1949. He returned to Blyth in 1950 where he purchased the funeral home. Mr. Tasker also operated Tasker's Furniture Store and the Sears Catalogue Outlet. The funeral home was sold in 1989 and he retired to his Amberley Beach cottage in 1991. He also enjoyed the winter months in Lakeland, Fla. He enjoyed his cottage, was an avid gardener and loved to cook, but most of all, loved having his grand­ children with him. He was the dear father of Dale and Patricia Tasker of Holland Landing, Kevin and Connie Tasker of Goderich and Cherida and Edward Riley of London, the much-loved and sadly missed grandfather of Lauren and Megan Tasker, Nathan Tasker and Kabrena and Colton Riley and dear brother of Glen and Marion Tasker of Brighton and Ross and Sue Tasker of Mississauga. Friends were received at the Blyth Visitation Centre of Beattie- Falconer Funeral Home, May 14. A celebration of his life was held at Blvth United Church, May 15, with ofticiation by old family friend Rev. Stan McDonald, along with Rev. Dr. Eugen Bannerman. Tributes to Mr. Tasker were given by his grandson Nathan as well as his three children Dale, Kevin and Cherida. A private family interment was held at Blyth Union Cemetery. Donations to the Blyth United Church or to the Blyth Lions Club would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. AUBREY JOHN McNICHOL Aubrey J. McNichol of RR2, Blyth, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at Wingham and District Hospital. He was in his 76th year. Mr. McNichol was the beloved husband of Grace (Jackson) McNichol. He was the dear father of Sandra and Glen McLachlan, Vanastra, Murray and Colleen McNichol, RR3, Blyth, Ray and Kathy McNichol, RR2, Blyth, Ron and Michelle McNichol, RR4, Brussels and Debbie and Ron Root, Blyth. He was the loving grandfa­ ther of 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mr. McNichol was predeceased by a granddaughter, Cheryl Lynn McLachlan, a great-granddaughter, Alicia McLachlan, his parents John and Isabel (Storey) McNichol and a sister, in infancy. Family received friends at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held at Blyth United Church on Thursday, May 15 at 2 p.m. Rev. Dr. Eugen Bannerman officiated. Pallbearers were John McLachlan, Robbie McLachlan, Mike McNichol, Brian McNichol, James McNichol, Ron Root and Matt McNichol. Flowerbearers were Lauren McNichol, Amy Root and Stacy McLachlan. The eulogy was given by Glen McLachlan. Musical selections were by Annie Riley, Helen Pridham and Hilda Crocker. Organist was Margaret Kai. Interment was at Brussels Cemetery. Memorial donations to the - Canadian Diabetes Association or Blyth United Church (lift fund) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Condolences at www.whit- neyribeyfuneralhome.com HAROLD MOFFATT Mr. Harold Moffatt of Wroxeter, passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Friday, May 16, 2003. He was 72. He was the beloved son of the late Oliver and Nora (Beattie) Moffatt. He was the dear brother of George and Pat Moffatt of Belmont and Marilyn and Glenn Terry of Lon­ don. Mr. Moffatt was also survived by Civic pride As part of their Grade 10 Civics class at F.E. Visitation was at the McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 2 p.m. Rev. Linda Moffatt officiated. Interment was in Wroxeter Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial dona­ tions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
