AAA Midget Hawks take Steel City Cup The Huron Hawks AAA Midget summer hockey team recently claimed the championship at the Steel City Cup, in Hamilton, May 23-25. The team defeated the host Hamilton Tigers in a dramatic shootout to win the tournament final. The Hawks jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period. Scoring goals were Joel Hemingway with two and Justin Kreller with one. Assists went to Jimmy Gartshore, Mark Stirling, and Alex Kreller. The Tigers were then able to take advantage of their exhausted opponents and slowly claw their way back into the game.
