On Tuesday the fed steers and heifers sold at steady prices. The cows sold $1 to $2 higher. On Thursday the veal traded on a steady market while the lambs sold on a strong active trade at prices $5 to $10 higher. On Friday all weights and classes of Stockers sold at prices steady to last week. There were 510 steers on offer selling from $104 to $110 with sales to $123. Two limousin steers consigned by Tom Triebner, Exeter, averaged 1,398 lbs. selling to Dominion Meats for $123. His overall offering of forty-two steers averaged 1,357 lbs. selling for an average of $112.94. James Frey, Chesley. consigned twenty-seven steers averaging 1,400 lbs. which sold for an average price of $109.93 with his top limousin steer weighing 1,370 lbs. selling to Norwich Packers for $122. One red steer consigned by Corgercrest Farms, Seaforth, weighed 1,325 lbs. selling to Moyer Packing Co. for $117. Their overall offering of three steers averaged 1,405 lbs. selling for an average of $111.39. Joel Martin, Paisley, consigned seventeen steers averaging 1,411 lbs. selling for an average price of $109.46 with one limousin steer weighing 1,370 lbs. bringing his top price of $ 117. Five steers consigned by David Bowles, Brussels, averaged 1,286 lbs. selling for an average of $109.47 with his top red steer weighing 1,210 lbs. selling to Moyer Packing co. for $117. Moore Acre Farms, Goderich, consigned three black steers averaging 1,357 lbs. which sold to Moyer Packing Co. for $115. Their overall offering of twenty-seven steers averaged 1,491 lbs. selling for an average of $ 109.15. Cunningham Farms, Lucan, consigned - thirty-nine steers averaging 1,473 lbs. which sold for an average of $108.71 with their top blue steer weighing 1,330 lbs. selling to Moyer Packing Co. for $116. Seven black steers consigned by Lowell Knight, Hepwroth, aveaged 1,451 lbs. selling for an average of $108.67 with sales up to $115. Leaders, Ms Cunningham and Bethany Jensen, told the plan for the club. There will be a few sheep- related trips and members will attend a few more fairs than in recent years. Next, members picked the executive. They are: Sarah Annesley, president; Margaret Vincent, vice-president; Sam Beardsley, secretary; Keshia Bishop, press reporter. His overall consignment of two heifers averaged 1,228 lbs. selling for an average of $113.78. Four heifers consigned by Ross Balfour, Dublin, averaged 1,324 lbs. selling for an average of $111.65 with his top grey heifer weighing 1,220 lbs. selling to Moyer Packing Co. for $116. Gardiner Farms, Staffa, averaged 1,333 lbs. which sold for an average of $110.43 with his top red heifer weighing 1,175 lbs. selling for $114.25. Bruce Dale, Centralia, consigned four red wf heifers averaging 1,220 lbs. selling to Moyer Packing Co. for $114. His overall consignment of eleven heifers averaged 1,304 lbs. selling for an average price of $109.34. Four heifers consigned by Kevin Gray, Harriston, averaged 1,346 lbs. selling for an average price of $109.06 with his top black heifer weighing 1,275 lbs. selling to Moyer Packing Co. for $113.50. Harvey Weppler, Port Elgin, consigned three limousin heifers averaging 1,433 lbs. which sold for an average price of $108.51 with sales up to $113.75. There were 269 cows on offer. D1 and D2 cows sold $60 to $66 with sales to $79; D3, $57 to $62; D4, $45 to $55. One limousin cow consigned by W.B.R.. Inc., Hensall, weighed 980 lbs. which sold to Aylmer Meat Packers for $79. Jeff Boersen, Gadshill, consigned five holstein cows averaging 1,572 lbs. which sold for an average price of $62.63 with his top holstein cow weighing 1,610 lbs. selling to Aylmer Meat Packers for $77. One simmental cow consigned by Mike Bishop, Ethel, weighed 1,485 lbs. selling to Aylmer Meat Packers for $72. There were 15 bulls on offer selling from $64.50 to $84 with sales to $94.
