2 arrested in West Wawanosh drug bust
On Feb. 4 Huron OPP officers,
along with members of the London
Drug Enforcement Section and
Western Region ERT team, executed
a search warrant at a residence on
Amberley Road in Ashfield-
Colbome-Wawanosh (West Wawa-
nosh Twp.)
During the search police seized 79
marijuana plants, and a quantity of
processed marijuana with a total
value of approximately $5,827 as
well as $2,300 worth of drug
growing equipment. Also seized
during the search was a stolen ATV,
with an estimated value of $4,000
and three firearms.
Police have charged both a 17-
year-old young offender, and a 46-
year-old Ashfield-Colborne-
Wawanosh (West Wawanosh) man
with production of a controlled
substance, possession of a controlled
substance for the purpose of
trafficking, and three counts of
unsafe storage of a firearm.
The adult will appear in Goderich
court on April 7 while the young
offender will appear later that
week.

and he had passed on the advice in a
letter.

Authority for work on Bridge # 12 and
the replacement of a culvert.
The timing of the work will be

The St. Helens WI asked council to
assume the cost of operating the
streetlight in the hamlet. The WI had
been paying the $15 per month bill
for many years and had run out of
money.
Council agreed to assume the light
with the cost pro-rated to residents’
tax bills as is the policy for other
communities.

applicants and a proposed agreement
for the Hazlitt development was
presented to council. A bylaw was
passed later in the meeting.

until the road could be visited on the
