The regular meeting of Morning
Star Rebekah Lodge #315 took
place on Nov. 12. There was a good
attendance of members.
A donation was made to the Huron
County Christmas Bureau.
Sister Helen Coates D.D. Pres.
from Exeter will pay her official
visit on Dec. 10.
Items for the food bank are being
collected for Christmas.
Plans for the Christmas meeting
will be finalized at the next meeting.

Belgrave hosts Night of Thousand Dinners
For the second year, Belgrave is
hosting Night of a Thousand
Dinners. a grassroots response to
terrorism.
This event is part of a world-wide
effort to raise awareness and locally,
raising funds for the Canadian
Landmines Foundation.
Funds raised during the event will
go to help clear landmines from
villages to make them safe for
children to walk and play as well as
from fields so that farmers can once
again plant crops to feed the
community.
There were seven tables of euchre
in play on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at
the Women's Institute Hall.
Winners were: high lady, Mary
Taylor; second high iady, Aileen
Leddy; lone hands, Mary McIntosh;
low lady, Viola Adams; high man,
Dennis Leddy; second high man,
Joe Spitzig; lone hands, Ross
Taylor; low man, Allen Edgar.
The next euchre is Wednesday,
Nov. 20 at 8 p.m.
Knox United Church in Belgrave
is hosting the Dec. 6 supper at 6 p.m.
The meal is potluck.

The winner
June Bakker of Blyth was the winner of the Pepsi bike,
donated by Scrimgeours as a fundraiser for the Blyth Fire
Department's thermal imaging camera. Due to the support
of the municipalities of North Huron, Central Huron,
Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh and Huron East, as well as
the contributions of the general public, corporations and
organizations, the financial goal has been reached. With
Bakker are Fire Chief Paul Josling and Don Scrimgeour.
