Barb Springall, homes administrator for Huronview and Huronlea, said the fence had been erected after the crop of soybeans had been harvested. The farmer who rented the land surrounding the former graveyard had encroached on the site to plant his crop last spring. Springall said the rental agreement with that user was up and the land would have to be advertised for rent. *** Circulation through the Blyth and Brussels branches of the Huron County Library continue to drop precipitously. . September book circulation through the Brussels branch was only 474 compared to 803 a year earlier while circulation for the year to the end of September had plummeted to 4,279 compared to 9,902 for the same period in 2001. Septembers. circulation in Blyth was 513 in 2002 compared to 703 in 200.1. The 2002 circulation stood at 6,554 compared to 7.636 in 2001. *** A request from a Dunlop-corner resident for the county to remove nimble at the corner of County Rd. 25 and Hwy. 21 will be deferred until a new county engineer is hired. Gary Salamone had complained the noise of the rumble strips was too disturbing and asked that the county find another way of alerting drivers to the stop sign at I lwy. 21. He also asked for signs to he posted asking truckers not to use "engine brakes- to slow down for the corner and that the speed limit he reduced in the area because of the houses along the road. The county roads department commented that engine brake signs are not among the signs approved in the . Ontario Regulatory Sign Manual and that use of such signs would take away from the effectiveness of other signs in the same area, *** The county will look into erecting signs to make people aware of the Cri inesloppers program.
