District Deputy President of Huron Perth District #23, Sis. Helen Coates, and her team from Pride of Huron Lodge, Exeter installed the officers. Sister Joyce Jacklin received the Past Noble Grand jewel. Elected officers are: Noble Grand, Sister Gert Kellington; vice Grand, Sister Elva Brown; Secretary, Sister Rene Richmond; Financial Secretary, Sister Lois McCall; treasurer, Sister Lorraine Edwards. Following installation a tableau was presented depicting much of Sister Diane Cruxton's, president of Rebekah Assembly of Ontario, program, themes and principles with many songs throughout. Pins are being sold for proceeds to "CHAMPS', the president's project. Best wishes for a speedy recovery are extended to Sister Dolores Wheeler, a patient in Seaforth Hospital and also to Sister Lorraine Edwards in London Hospital. There were nine members present with first vice-president John Harrison chairing. An invitation was received to attend Kincardine's 65th anniversary on Friday, Oct. 25. Doreen Rutledge and Irma Brighton are still in Seaforth Hospital. Anyone wishing an interview with the Zone Service, Officer Randy Groundwater needs to contact Comrade Mabel Glanville before Oct. 14. That was my experience driving toward Bluevale on my way to work on Friday night. Thoughts of seeing the light, the weather and 'holy cow' were soon displaced. The lights continued in various shades of colour as the memory of Wescast's 100th came to mind. " As I continued on the B Line — the fireworks just kept going, I even paused a while as 1 neared Wingham for a very good view. Thanks Wescast party people. It was one of my favourite drives to work.
