Interest at 1 1/4% per month or any part thereof will be charged as of June 27, 2002. NOTE: Persons who have acquired properties and have not received a tax bill should contact the Clerk's Office. Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve a taxpayer from responsibility for payment of taxes, nor from penalty for late payment. A post-dated cheque dated June 26, 2002 may be brought to the Clerk's Office any time prior to the due date. Drop boxes are located at the Town Hall in Wingham and Blyth Library. An appropriate remembrance When Shaun Alexander Vir died suddenly nearly two years ago the members of his mother's investment club decided to do something in memory of the young man who loved the outdoors. They decided to support the Trans Canada Trail in his name and dedicate a book to the library in Blyth where he grew up. The presentation was made recently to, back left Pat Brigham, Blyth Branch supervisor, by Joan Lindsay, Joan Wood, Norma Ogryzlo, Margaret McGovern, Elizabeth Becker and Jane Simpson. Pat Balcerzak, her daughter Diane and granddaughter Amber from Lakeport, New York were visitors at the home of Don, Marilyn and David Craig. Other guests were Joye and Murray Kane, Fullarton; Paul and Sue Craig and girls, Waterloo: Margaret Townsend, London; Murray and Laura Townsend and girls, Aroma; Bodie and 011ie Craig, RR2, Blyth and Fred and Deb Hakkers and boys of Blyth. On Saturday, June 15, Pat, Diane and Amber attended the family picnic of Robert and Ada Craig along with many other Craig relatives at Blyth Lions Park. They stayed at the Walton Inn on Saturday night and enjoyed the Father's Day brunch on Sunday morning. Greeting at Blyth United Church on Sunday, June 16 were Lorna and Randy Fraser along with their granddaughter. Guest musician was Margaret Kai. Ushering were Lois van Vliet, Elaine and Elva Brown and Joann MacDonald. Rev. Eugen Bannerman asked all the children in the congregation to come to the front for the baptism.
