for a celebration. Three young folk,
Tonya Drost, Amanda Falconer and
Robert Goodall, through their
profession of faith, became full
members of the United Church of
Canada.

Londesboro Lions are preparing
to do some more repair work on the
community hall. The Happy Gang
voted to donate $500 to help with
these renovations.
The sefliors' meeting June 26 will
be a supper gathering. Members
whose initials are A - M should
bring first course while the remainer
will bring dessert N - Z. Meat will
be supplied.
Each confirmand received a
certificate and a Bible to mark the
occasion.
Rev. Ross's message was directed
toward the confirmands and was an
explanation for all members. The text
for his message came from Mark 9:
38-41, "whoever is not against us, is
for us."
Through baptism at any age, in the
United Church of Canada, a person
becomes a member of the church and
begins their faith learning. The
United Church desires that a young
person makes their own choice of
faith, another step in their faith
learning.
Through public profession of faith,
they become full members of the
church. A conversion to Christianity
through the profession of faith by an

recorded in Acts 8: 34-40.
Rev. Ross expressed the hope that
all the days of their lives, these three
newest members will be for Christ
and be responsible and faithful
