JESSIE MABEN (ALCOCK)
ENGEL
Jessie Engel peacefully departed
this world on Saturday, Dec. 29,
2001.
Jessie celebrated life by achieving
membership in the elite Three
Century Club, being born on June
16, 1896 to Henry Alcock and
Margaret Craig.
Jessie lived her life in Grey Twp.
where she farmed with her husband,
Archibald Engel who predeceased
her in 1966. Jessie attributed her
long and healthy life to hard work
and her strong faith. Jessie was a life
member of St. John's Anglican
Church, the ACW, as well as the
Majestic Women's Institute.
Besides her husband Jessie was
predeceased by her brother William
(1916) and sister Margaret (Alcock)
Engel (1992). Jessie is survived by
her sisters-in-law, Tillie Engel and
Dorothy Engel and Margaret's chil-
dren Bill, Don and Bob Engel and
Ruth Kellam as well as many other
nieces, nephews and their families.
She will be fondly remembered by
her dear cousins Ross and Cora
Alcock and Isabel Alcock.
Friends were received by the fam-
ily from 2 - 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, at
the Sdhimanski Family Funeral
Home, Brussels. The funeral service
was conducted Wednesday, Jan. 2 at
2 p.m. from St. John's Anglican
Church, Brussels.
Spring interment will be in
Brussels Cemetery.
Donations may be made to St.
John's Anglican Church or the char-
ity of one's choice.
IONA MOORE
Blanche Iona (Gerrett) Moore of
Wingham and formerly of Brussels,
passed away peacefully at Wingham
and District Hospital on Firday, Dec.
28, 2001. She was in her 71st year.
She was the beloved wife of Cecil
Moore and dear mother of James
Moore and his wife Susan of
Pickering, Debbie Trollope and her
partner Eric Ross of Brussels and
Lori Wheeler and her husband Scott
of Strathroy. She was the dear sister
of Norma Gerrett, June DeLory and
her husband Fred, Muriel Solosky
and her husband Joe and Ralph
Gerrett and his wife Faye. She was
also loved by 10 grandchildren and
one great-grandchild. She was pre-
deceased by her brothers James
Henry and Irvin Emmanuel and sis-
ter Margaret Spence.
Friends were received by the fam-
ily from 2 - 4 and 7 - p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 29 at the Schithanski
Family Funeral Home, Brussels,
where the funeral service was con-
ducted Sunday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m.
with Rev. Jeff Hawkins of Gorrie
United Church, officiating.
Spring interment will be in
Brussels Cemetery.
Acting as pallbearers were Jim
Moore, Eric Ross, Jonathon
Trollope, Jud Moore, Scott Wheeler,
and Ralph Gerrett.
As an expression of sympathy,
memorial donations may be made to
the Canadian Cancer Society or the
Wingham and District Hospital.
SANDRA MAYBERRY
Mrs. Sandra Elizabeth (Procter)
Mayberry of Londesborough passed
away on Dec. 19, 2001 in her 50th
year.
Mrs. Mayberry was born on June
18, 1952 in Wingham, ON and was
the daughter of Elizabeth Procter of
Wingham and the late Robert
Charles Procter.
Mrs. Mayberry was a member of
Trinity Anglican Church, Blyth and
was a tutor to many local children.
She was the beloved wife of Larry
Mayberry and loving mother of
Marilyn Mayberry, Cambridge,
Kimberley Mayberry, Toronto and
Darryl and his wife Amy of Slippery
Rock, Penn. USA. She was loved
and will be sadly missed by grand-
son Devon Mayberry. She was the
dear sister of Frank and Dorothy
Procter of RR5, Brussels, Marjorie
and Phil Stopforth of Sarnia and
Maxine and Howard Zettler of RR1,
Chepstow. She was also survived by
a foster child Chris Menier and his
daughter Christine of Owen Sound.
Friends were received at the
Beattie-Falconer Funeral Homes
Ltd., 153 High St., Clinton on
Friday, Dec. 21 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9
p.m. Funeral service was held at
Trinity Anglican Church, Blyth on
Saturday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. Rev.
Tom Wilson officiated.
Spring interment will be in Blyth
Union Cemetery.

RONALD TUCIILINSKY
Mr. Ronald Tuchlinsky of
Kitchener, died peacefully, at the age
of 73, on Jan. 1, 2002, after a year-
long fight with bone cancer.
He is fondly loved and remem-
bered-4y- his wife of 50 years,
Kathleen (Kay) nee Omand; his
daughters, Karen Earle from
Waterloo and Joan Tuchlinsky from
Walton, minister of the United
Churches in Walton and Bluevale;
sons-in-law, Barry Earle and Brian
Black; grandchildren Jason and
Kelly Earle and Jennifer, Steven,
Jeffrey, Laura and Bethany Black.
He is also survived by his sister,
Janet Walker and husband Bruce of
Bala and his brothers, Robert and
wife Terry of Waterloo and Paul and
wife Cathy of Kitchener.
Visitation was held at Schreiter-
Sandrock Funeral Home, Kitchener
on Friday Jan. 4 from 2 — 4 p.m. and
7 — 9 p.m. A service of remembrance
and celebration was held at Trinity
United Church, Kitchener on
Saturday, Jan. 5 at 11 a.m.
As expressions of sympathy, dona-
tions can be made to Trinity United
Church for either the "Out of the
Cold" fund or "Trinity Memorial"
fund.
VERA BADLEY
Mrs. Vera Elizabeth (MacDonald)
Badley of Huronlea and formerly of
The Ethel Hall board held a euchre
on Dec. 10 with 17 tables in play.
Winners were: door prizes, John-
Subject, Margaret MacDonald;
Blyth passed away on Dec. 24, 2001
in her 84th year.
Mrs. Badley was born in Hullett
Twp. on June 25, 1917 and was the
daughter of the late Peter and Sarah
(Watson) MacDonald.
Mr*. Badley was a retired employ-
ee of Huronview Home for the Aged.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Lorne Roy "Pat" Badley (1981).
She was the loving mother of Ken
and Fran Badley of Mossbank,
Sask., Larry and Myrtle Badley of
RR2, Blyth, Reg and Lynne Badley
of Seaforth and Pat and Harvey
Bernard of Blyth. She was also loved
and will be sadly misseeby 10
grandchildren and six great-grand-
children.
Mrs. Badley was predeeeased by
one grandson.

Visitation Centre, 407 Queen St.,
Blyth on Wednesday, Dec. 26 from 2
- 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. where the funeral
service was held on Thursday, Dec.
27 at 2 p.m. Rev. Paul Ross officiat-
ed.
Spring interment will be in
Brussels Cemetery.

VIOLET HOWES
Mrs. Violet Howes, wife of the late
Donald F. Howes of Clinton, former-
ly of Blyth and Atwood passed away
peacefully in Listowel Memorial
Hospital on Friday, Dec. 28, 2001.
She was in her 94th year.
Surviving is her family, Kenneth
Howes and wife Mary of Toronto;
Jim Howes and wife Nancy of
Fonthill; Allen Howes and Jackie of
Danville, California; six grandchil-
dren and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her par-
ents John and Mary Holden, three
sisters and four brothers.
There was no funeral home visita-
tion. A memorial service was held on
Saturday, Jan. 5 at Melville
Presbyterian Church*, Brussels at 2
p.m.
Spring interment will be in Embro
Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to
Peebles Funeral Home, Atwood.

Mrs. Lena A. Speiran, the former
Lena A. Ward passed away on
Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002 in her 92nd
year.
