The Citizen, 2001-12-12, Page 2as these two simply proceed to check
every tree on the farm - thus the rea-
son for the umbrella. Needless to say
their selections were beautiful.
And now as we head into the third
week of Advent be sure to attend the
many activities prepared just for you
- school concerts, carol nights and
gathering of friends. Do your part
and return the love and hope offered
to you.
Enjoy the season.

we love.
Our generous side -is shown in
December as we donate to the
Christmas Bureau with gifts, food
and money as we try to equal out the
unfairness in Huron. Many of our
churches held white gift services to
offer gifts in an anonymous fashion
to make this season more pleasant.
Service clubs and schools have done
their part to gather treasures as well.
Decorations and looking good are
part of the December festivities but
in order for things to look good there
has to be a time of utter chaos as
things are gathered together. This
week I decided it is not as much fun
getting the Christmas things from the
attic when there are no bright shining
eyes helping but the mess of the
moment was a little more controlled.
Next year I'm planning on more
chaos.
Mather's Tree Farm was a little
concerned last week when two
women armed with dark umbrellas
arrived. Appearances were deceiving

Adams and Doris McCall.
Draw prizes were won by Helen
Gallop, Leona Armstrong, Ross
Cunningham, Elunid McNair, Allan
Edgar and Viola Kirkby.
Lunch was served by Jean Fraser
and Edna McLellan.

Well the festive season is gaining
momentum. The level of excitement
is getting high and the sparkle in the
eyes of the children as they speak of
the coming weeks is truly wonderful.
The words of the song - "It's the
most wonderful time of the year"
come to mind as we make Christmas
preparations. Family time together in
December is special as we try to
share the hope, peace, joy and love
that holds us together the rest of the
year. And so we spend our time and
thoUghts on shopping, scanning
recipes, checking the supplies and
buying gifts in our attempt to bring
home the Christmas spirit to the ones
