In tribute
The Listowel District Secondary School choir sang a special tribute to 14 people sworn in as
new Canadians during a citizenship court at LDSS. All history students from Grade 10 through
OAC attended the event to learn how much it means for people to become Canadian citizens.

Mortals Praise to perform at Mennonite Fellowship
Mortals Praise, the premier vocal
ensemble from Providence College
and Seminary in Manitoba, will be
performing at Brussels Mennonite
Fellowship in Brussels on Sunday.

April 24 history students from
Grades 10 through OAC witnessed
firsthand the value of Canadian
Citizenship, during a citizenship
court held at Listowel District
Secondary School. Fourteen new
Canadians were sworn in by Dr.
Frank Hayden, citizenship judge.
Following the swearing-in cere-
mony and the taking of the oath by
the new Canadians, Dr. Hayden
asked all the students in attendance
to stand and repeat the oath reaf-
firming their beliefs in Canada as
Canadians.

The regular meeting of Morning
Star Rebekah Lodge was held on
Tuesday, April 24.
Ten sisters from Pride of Huron
Lodge, Exeter visited and presented

Humanitarian Service Programme,
which supports Camp Trillium,

fishing season. They will again
observe, hoping that no further vio-
lence will erupt over lobsters.
CPT hopes that with their presence
and human rights observing, no one
will get hurt. CPT meets with gov-
ernment officials and the native fish-
eries, hoping that they will sit
together to find justice and peace on
the water.
Christian Peacemaker Teams is a
violence reduction team supported
by Friends United, Church of the
Brethren and the Mennonite Church.
Their newly expanded' facilities,
wide variety of programs., highly
qualified professors and vibrant
community life has led to recent
