FROM WALTON
Carrying a heavy load
Anne Reilly of Grey Central Public School shouldered a lot
of weight last Thursday when she volunteered to strap on
just some of the equipment worn by Grey firefighters. Fire
Chief Calvin Semple and Dave Diehl helped adjust the air
tank.
It was a beautiful spring day to be
at Duff's United Chuith on April 29,
the third Sunday of Easter.
. Joan Tuchlinsky welcomed every-
one and the Introit was sung, fol-
lowed by the Call to Worship.
She had some good news to
announce during announcements.
Glenda and Daryl Morrison now
have a baby girl named Amanda
Elizabeth. She also announced that
the next WUCC meeting is May 2
with Mark Bachert as the guest
speaker.
Don't forget the Walton
Community Hall Beef Stew
Luncheon on Wednesday, May 2.
Patty Banks announced that tick-
ets for the musical, The Rock ,
Slinger and his Greatest Hit are now
on sale. The performance is on June
9. You can get them from Patty, or
Brian Black, Thea Rijkhof or Marie
McGavin.
The sermon was called, The
Transformation Dance.

I just need to make an apology to
Pat Gillis who was the actual greeter
at Duff's church service last Sunday,
not Neil and Marie McGavin.
Gee Pat, your chance to make
headlines and I blew it. Sorry.
But it was one of those weeks you
know where everything seemed to
go wrong. For instance I was in a
hurry one morning trying to help the
kids get their lunches made and I
looked all over the refrigerator for
the mayonnaise. It wasn't there. I, of
course, accused everyone else of tak-
ing it and putting it somewhere else.
Well at lunch time I opened the
refrigerator, the same refrigerator
that I had opened that morning and
there sitting right in front of me was
the mayo.
Later that day at the grocery store
I was looking for an item on the
shelf. It should have been there. I
went to one of the clerks and told her
that they needed to order more of
this stuff because they were out. She
scratched her head, sure that it was
still there, and told me to come with
her.
Well guess what was still there?
Right in its proper spot.
What I want to know is who
moved it back?
