Shayna Park-Shaw, Kyle Gibson, Mary Ann Aitchison and Cory Chapman practised working
together when they took part in a drama workshop held at Brussels Public School for Grade 7
students. Conducted by Marina Reed, a teacher from Howick Public School, the course teach-
es pupils teamwork and focus, while showing teachers how to incorporate drama skills into all
subject areas. Though Dig into Drama is currently a part-time endeavour for Reed, she hopes
to expand the program.
`Good Times' will be in Blyth
He's performing at home and he's
bringing his friends.
Craig Fair of Bluevale has become
not just a well-known entertainer in
the area, but has, since his perform-
ances as a youngster in theatres from
the east coast to Stratford, been
proving himself as a major talent.
Now in his first year of Musical
Theatre Performance at Sheridan
College in Oakville, the 19-year-old
graduate of F.E. Madill Secondary
School, is, with the help
of three peers, mounting a show in
Blyth.
Good Times will be presented at
Memorial Hall on March 31.
Featuring the singing and dancing
talents of Kelly Ann Evans, Tanya
Penney and Michael Power, all
natives of Newfoundland, as well as
those of Fair, the program offers
solos, duets and group numbers of
pop standards, original works and
show tunes.
The finale will be songs by a well-
known 1970's group, says Fair.
The idea for the concert essential-
ly came from the quartet's love of
performing. Fair explains that first
year students at Sheridan do not
have the opportunity to work on
stage. "The idea is that some may

not be ready. The four of us already
have done a lot of performing and
we miss it. So we got together a.cl
decided to put on our own show."
Having done a Christmas show in
Wingham this. past year, Fair sug-
gested that his home area might be
the place to do it.
They have been involved with all
aspects of the production from hiring
the band to-choreographing.
Despite his young age Fair brings
a broad range of experience to the
stage. Not only is he familiar to
many in the area through his years
with the school's Drama Guild pro-
ductions, but he appeared in Anne of
Green Gables at the Charlottetown
Festival at the age of 10, was in the
Stratford Festival production of
Gypsy and A Christmas Carol at The
Grand in London.
This summer, he and Evans have
lead roles in Canada's Wonderland's
main stage production Graveyard
Shift. Rehearsals for it begin the
week before Good Times.
-Tickets for the Blyth show can be

Be a clown
at school
If clowning around has always
been your thing, clown school may
be just the place to be.
The five-week clown training
course offers adults the opportunity
to hone their skills and learn new
entertaining techniques.
Participants will develop their
own "clown" identity and wardrobe
as they begin the journey to becom-
ing a professional clown.
At completion of the course,
newly-crowned clowns may be eli-
gible to join the Huron Children's
Aid Society Clown Alley, a four-
year-old troupe which brings light
and laughter into the hearts of young
and old in the county.
Registration for the next session
closes April 3. The $120 cost for the
Tuesday evening classes includes
required make-up.
Contact the Huron CAS in
Goderich at 524-7356 or 1-800-265-
