Entertainment Leisure Walton hosts special night of music Subjected to the same startling fuel price increases as everyone else, Walton Community Hall has come up with a fundraiser to help offset those costs. The talent of Brian Black of Walton and his quartet Beyond Bliss will entertain at the hall April 6. The a capella quartet performs a compilation of popular ballads and A taste of Acadian dance, music and humour will come to Huron County next week when Barachois, a four-piece ensemble performs in Wingham and Goderich. On the afternoon of March 27, Barachois will present a youth-ori- hits as well as a great selection of sacred music. Formed in Kitchener in 1998, members Jennifer Black, Judy Garrett, Chad Spaulding and Black have been influenced by groups such as The Nylons and Manhattan Transfer. Brian Black has considerable musical experience, having con- ented show at the Heritage Theatre in Wingham. The show is sponsored by the Canadian Parents for French. Mitchell Neitingtatt la, 4 veatto, atd Blyth's 125th group gets loan By Bonnie Gropp Citizen staff Blyth Lions Ken Stewart and Bev Blair appeared before North Huron council Monday night to discuss the Homecoming celebration planned for the Civic Holiday weekend in 2002. Stewart explained that about 25 people were meeting regularly now to get things started. Some commit- tees had been set and though no for- mal agenda was done there were a lot of ideas being discussed. For insurance purposes the com- mittee was made an ad hoc commit- tee with Councillor Murray Nesbitt as the municipal representative. Also, a motion passed granting a loan for start up costs to the commit- tee in the amount of $5,000, the same figure designated by the old Blyth council as a donation to the group from the sale of Blyth Hydro.
