Grade ls have Munseh fun learning how to read

The Grade Is at East Wawanosh
Public School are learning how to
read in their class.
Their favourite author is Robert
Munsch. Their favourite subject is
gym.
In Grade 1 they are looking for-
ward to doing math. One of their
favourite activities is art when they
paint and make crafts.
First thing in the morning, the
Grade ls do their calendar by going
up to the front and reading a story if
it is their turn.

For the Grade 3s bell work is when
Miss Hodges writes multiplication
facts on the board and the first per-
son who gets the right answers gets a
jelly bean or a pencil.
Dalton Delisle says that his
favourite subject in his class is math
because he likes to do adding, sub-
tracting and the times tables. Meagan
Pletch enjoys having library. In math
they are learning to do multiplica-
tion.
After first recess they have quite
reading for 10 minutes. Then they do
spelling.
After lunch the students going to
Mrs. Folkard's room French then sci-
ence or social studies depending on
the day. Later, they ha,. e gym, art, or
health depending on the day. After
that they have music or reading bud-
dies with the kindergarten A class.
The last thing of the day is their
homework folders.
The other Grade 3s go to Mrs.
Walker's class and then French.
After that they have gym. Later, they
have environmental studies, social
studies, art, or music depending on
the day.

Community Centre Sunday, for the Valentine luncheon. Funds raised will be used for a trip to
Toronto for the Guides and Pathfinders. A second brunch is planned for March 17. This
Thursday the Guides will visit and tour the Wingham firehall for their fire safety badge.
