PAGE 20. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 16, 1998. Gratefully accepted It was a great day for the Blyth Fire Department when quilters Deloris Souch, Nellie Mason and Sharon Bromley decide to make uSe of a few scraps of cloth. The trio put together four large quilts and donated them to the department. Quilts are very useful in both accidents and fires, said Deputy Fire Chief Bill Burkholder when he accepted the blankets from Souch last week and thanked the group for their contribution. Souch said anyone interested in a social time and putting together quilts for charity or who can donate filler should give her a call. Five small quilts were also donated by a Mitchell woman when she heard of the endeavour. Happy winner Scott McDonald of Brussels was the lucky winner in the Brussels Agricultural Society's very successful fundraising raffle. McDonald had the choice of a computer or $2,000. He took the cash.
