Helen Elliott read a poem. Mrs. Armstrong had the devotions, based on Thanksgiving. The scripture readings were Psalm 95, verses 1 = 7, and Luke 17 telling of the healing of the 10 lepers. Only Brussels People On Saturday, Oct. 24 Eleanor Hemingway attended the Aylmer High School commencement when her granddaughter, Chantelina Phillips graduated. Chantelina is now a student at Emanuel College. On Sunday, Eleanor attended the convocation at Wilfred Laurier University when her granddaughter, Katherine East graduated from Business Administration with an Honours degree. Committee members were informed at the Oct. 9 meeting, that the park and gazebo located on the cast side of Turnberry Street, just south of Mill Street, had cost $10,031.86. A motion was passed in an earli- er session to retain a $1,500 bal- ance for future homecomings, leaving more than $1,100 available for improvements and maintenance. The committee would like to see some of the funds go towards 'Help protect the environment: 6___Fleduce, reuse and recycle shrubs and trees and is awaiting approval from the members. If approved, it is hoped the work could be completed by Oct. 31. age attendance and remind young people that the facility is there for them.
