While any school is welcome to participate, this year, teachers Doreen Radford and Bob Livermore have sent out invitations to several local public, separate and Christian elementary schools. "There has not been f huge participation in other years, so in this way we hope to attract more," says Doreen. Students are admitted free on Friday to the fairgrounds where they are allowed to roam and discover. A type of question and answer scavenger hunt is arranged to get them looking and involved in what is happening with the displays. "We really encourage them to watch the threshing demonstrations," says Doreen. "A lot of these children don't recognize the machinery or what is being done, so we want them to understand that this is the way it was."
