PAGE A-19. 1998 HURON PIONEER THRESHER REUNION & HOBBY SHOW It is fun for all ages at the 37th Annual Huron Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association Reunion, Sept. 11-13 in Blyth. As well as threshing events, tractors pulls, log sawing competitions, crafts, music and lots of great food, committee member Fred dcBocr is organizing special events just for the children. The events are generally aimed at children 10 years and younger though some older children may be included. The activities will run on Saturday and Sunday afternoons beginning at 2 p.m., at Radford's ball diamond. The youngest group will be for four year olds and younger with each other age group including two years (ie. five and six year olds). The number of classes will depend on the number of children who wish to participate. A fun activity will be the obstacle course which will challenge the children in skill, balance and ability to have a lot of fun. Events such as tractors pulls and races are sure to attract the attention of the young. There will be prizes awarded for all events and there is no cost to participate. Youngsters should look for other displays set up just for them. ON THE MONEY? The ring toss is just one of many children's special events to offer some afternoon entertainment for young visitors to the Huron Pioneer Thresher Reunion CAREFUL AIM The children's special events are hands-on fun activities focussing more on things of the past, then the technical fun of today.
