1998 HURON PIONEER THRESHER REUNION & HOBBY SHOW
Food aplenty
at Reunion
Satisfying one's hunger will not be a
problem at the Huron Pioneer Thresher
and Hcibby. Association's 37th Reunion,
with booth operators and com-munity
groups supplying numerous delicious
feasts.
As is the long-standing tradition of the
reunion, there will be a good selection of
food available throughout the three day
event held at the Blyth Fairgrounds.
There will he food booths strategically
placed around the grounds to make
quenching a hunger or thirst very easy.
The food will be available by Shed 1,
near Second Stage next to the arena ball
diamond, close to Radford's diamond on
the opposite side of the park, in the
Auditorium and behind the blacksmith's
shop.
On Friday evening only, the Shriner's
fish Fry will be held across Gypsy Lane at
Lion's Park.
The Biyth Optimists and Lions will be
providing fare such as pop, hotdogs, chips,
fries and hamburgers from Friday through
Sunday.'The Optimists will also offer
Oktoberfest sausage.
The Londesboro Lions Club will have a
booth set up near the tractor pull area,
offering patrons beef on a bun.
The Auburn United Church will be
serving sandwiches and pie while the
Blyth Anglican parish will offer treats
near Shed 1.
Hotdogs, burgers and fries will be
dished out from the food booth in the
arena.
For those looking for a sit-down meal,
the Legion Ladies Auxiliary will be
providing a hot meal in the upstairs of the
Auditorium. Lunch will be available
Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to
2:00 p.m. and dinner will be served
beginning at 4:30 p.m. and run until 7 p.m.
Lunch will consist of soup and a
sandwich while at dinner there will be a
choice of two meats with all the
trimmings. There will be a good selection
of desserts to choose from as well, such as
pies, cakes and cheesecakes.
On Sunday, the hot meals will be
supplied by the Blyth Lions.
The Lions will also be running the beer
tent in Lions Park on Saturday and
Sunday.
For early risers, the Blyth Fire
Department pancake breakfast will be
served from 7:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at
the firchall. This will be available on
Saturday and Sunday. . •
The menu will include pancakes, and
syrup with bacon or sausages and coffee
or juice.
It is bound to be an enjoyable weekend
just sampling the fare at each booth
located around the reunion site.
Church service
Sunday morning
The 37th Annual Huron Pioneer
Thresher Reunion and Hobby Association
is hosting a non-denominational church
service on Sunday, Sept.. 13 for the
campers, community and all interested in
a music filled sermon.
Don Vair, of the Westfield Fellowship
Hour Church, will he the speaker at the
10:30 a.m. service.
Several local talents will add a touch of
music, song and story telling to the
service.
Everyone is invited to attend the open-
air church service at the Main Stage,
which runs until 12 noon.
